Amelia Zellander, PhD is a bioengineer and pharmaceutical scientist. For the last 7 years, she has developed cell therapies for oncology and ophthalmology. In addition, she has almost 10 years of experience with developing biomaterials for tissue replacement. During her PhD studies, she created biomaterials for cornea replacement. Dr. Zellander continues her work in cornea replacement solutions as the founder and CEO of BioLattice and as a visiting researcher at Lehigh University. She earned a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master’s of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
