Senior Program Manager, R&T Strategy Founder and CEO Scientists in Stilettos
Bre joined Medtronic in 2014, leading process development and scale-up of novel biologic therapies in Spine & Biologics. She transitioned to product development, where she led complex projects for regenerative medicine, allograft tissue, and synthetic bone graft portfolios executing new product innovation, commercialization, and released product management. Recently, Bre accepted the role of Senior Program Manager, Research and Technology Strategy with Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) business. Bre manages new opportunities and innovation strategies shaping the investment portfolio to drive integrated therapy solutions for cardiac arrhythmia and heart failure patients and physicians across the global care continuum. Before joining Medtronic, Bre spent 13 years in the pharmaceutical industry with Baxter Healthcare and West-Ward Pharmaceuticals. Her roles took her from the benchtop as a quality analytical chemist to leading characterization strategies and quality management programs ensuring the commercialization of drugs and biologics. To further her passion for achieving equity for historically marginalized groups in STEM, Bre founded Scientist in Stilettos. Scientist in Stilettos offers action empowered engagement for girls and leadership elevation for women to build strong communities of female STEM leaders worldwide. Bre has been featured as a speaker for ASME AM Medical Summit and is a co-author for several ASTM Standard Guides under review. She holds 17 patents in various disciplines, including organic synthetic chemistry, manufacturing, resorbable, moldable implants, device delivery systems, and analytical test methods. Bre earned a BS degree in Biological Sciences from Clemson University. She holds a DRM Green Belt (Six Sigma) and is certified in Additive Manufacturing Fundamentals through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
