Dr. Quanjun Cui is the G.J. Wang M.D. Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, and Vice Chair for Research. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and specializes in total hip and knee replacement, osteonecrosis, computer-aided and minimally invasive surgery for total hip and knee arthroplasty. Dr Cui’s research is funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and Department of Defense (DOD) focusing on stem cell therapy and arthritis. He has received numerous academic and professional accolades, including the Hip Society Otto Aufranc Award. He has been recognized as “America’s Top Orthopaedist” since 2009 and in the Best Doctors of America® List since 2015. Dr. Cui has written over 140 papers and book chapters and has edited 9 text books. He has served as faculty member for several national and international instruction courses including AAOS Instruction Courses, Advances in Arthritis, Arthroplasty and Trauma, and Advances in Surgical Technology. Dr. Cui has also served as Program Chair and Faculty Member at state, national and international meetings. He is a board member and reviewer for several prestigious journals including the Journal of Arthroplasty and the Journal of Orthopaedic Research. Dr. Cui is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA). He served as President of the Virginia Orthopaedic Society in 2017 and President of ARCO in 2020.
